Mojave Weekender

I have been a Brighton customer for the past 19 and this year was the first time I purchased travel gear (Mojave suitcase, duffel and pouch), and I am truly disappointed. Last week was the second time I used the Mojave weekender suitcase that I purchased 5 months ago. The first time I took it for a weekend in my vehicle. This past week, I took it for a vacation for which I traveled by air. I noticed the wheels did not roll easy at the airport. I concur with other reviews, the handle feels weak, the matching Mojave duffle I purchased kept sliding and falling from the suitcase. The zipper slider in the back of the weekener suitcase, fell off, and when picking up the bag from the carousel belt at the airport, the suitcase zipper was split opened so items within my suitcase fell on to the conveyor belt. Zipper is defective and won't stay closed.

I’m a big Brighton fan however this luggage set was disappointing. The wheels don’t turn well. The handle isn’t built strong enough. The backpack to match has a luggage sleeve that slips off the handle and is always sliding around. I’m so sad as I spent good amount for this set.

I purchased this weekender in February, intending to save it for my trip to Europe in April. I wanted a sturdy bag that I could attach the matching duffel to. I purchased all of the pieces and was so disappointed when walking through the airport. The handle is flimsy and doesn't provide great support for the duffel. The wheels had a mind of their own and made it difficult to walk through airports. I didn't overpack, but it looked horribly out of shape. I thought for $300, I would get a better carry-on. I wouldn't recommend this carry-on for airport travel; it might be better suited for weekend travel by car.
