Beautiful bracelet but the gold wore off in the 1st 2 months. When I took it back to the store they asked me if I ever got the bracelet wet & suggested that it was my fault. I do wash my hands & I have worn in the shower. I had a silver cross bracelet for 10 years without any problems. I have shopped at Brighton for the past 20 years but this may be my last purchase.
Hi Debbie! We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear it's tarnished. Our jewelry is silver plated with a protective lacquer finish. Once that finish has worn away and the underlying metal is exposed, the tarnishing unfortunately cannot be restored or polished back to its original appearance. To help preserve the finish on silver-plated jewelry, we recommend avoiding water, lotions, perfumes, and other chemicals whenever possible.
