Beth Ferrara - Brighton Designer

Fashion was a natural evolution for designer Beth Ferrara, a lover of art and music. It's fitting that her contributions to our Marrakesh Collection are music-festival perfect!

What led you to become a designer?

I've always been drawn to doing art and have known whatever I’d end up doing needed to be creative. Being a designer is an exciting way to put my artistry to use while also getting involved in fashion—something else I greatly enjoy.

Who has inspired you in your life and why?

My husband is a musician and I admire his obsession and dedication to his craft. My sister is a photographer and she has a unique way of seeing things, which I also admire. I am lucky to have creative people in my life.

Your happy place?

I have a passion for automobile design, and it led me to the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, one of the best schools for automotive design.

Who inspired you?

At a concert, preferably front row.

My proudest moment was....

Meeting Paul McCartney (my dream come true).

I'm just learning jewelry design.

Shapes, patterns, nature, music.

What makes a great design?

When a design is a reflection of an artist and their style, this is what often makes it great - because it's what makes it unique.
