Working at Brighton is such a unique experience. You are not just a number — you are part of a family. It has been such a great journey for me, going from a Belt Manufacturer/Wholesaler to where we are today. I've been working for Brighton 27 years and what a ride it has been. Here we wear multiple hats and get involved in different aspects of the business which gives great opportunities to learn and grow within yourself. It's never "wash, rinse and repeat." You always need to be "open to learn" to enjoy the journey and continue to learn. This is what makes us so special.

It's been an amazing 30 years and counting. I have always known my "Why" because without knowing your "Why" there isn't a purpose. Jerry is a caring, smart and generous man who appreciates truth and ambition. I was in my 20s and possessed both. I've felt empowered from the day I started with Leegin, now known as Brighton — empowered to see everything in Grey and not Black and White, empowered to ask questions without ridicule, empowered to contribute, collaborate and to learn from Jerry, my staff, and peers. Yet the best part has been helping others to grow and learn. There aren't many privately held debt free companies that encourage entrepreneurial thinking. Loving what you do and knowing it matters brings the joy of working smart and hard. Every day is a privilege!!

Brighton is a magical place because of the people and the product. From the moment I started I began an incredible journey of inspiration, discovery and learning that evolves and challenges me daily. Brighton truly feels like a family. We care about each other and doing what is right for our partners, our consumers and our communities. The incredible talent of our designers and artists, the skill of our craftsman, the quality and workmanship of our product leaves me feeling incredibly fortunate to be a part of something so special and unique.

I came to Brighton because I wanted to work for a company that made a positive impact in the world around it. Brighton gives back in many ways - providing handbags and shoes to those in need, supporting breast cancer charities, animal societies, music education, and more. It makes me feel good to be part of it.

When I interviewed for a buying position at Brighton, I could tell right away that the "secret sauce" that made it such a special place to work was the people. Everyone I spoke with had such a passion for their job and for the vision of the company. There are so many talented people that work here — from the innovative designers and the creative marketing team to the business savvy buyers and helpful sales partners. I am so lucky to work with such talented people that push me to give more than 110% each and every day.

I was in a dead-end job that I walked away from after 7 years. I was fortunate enough to find Brighton through a want-ad in the local newspaper (Yes, an actual printed newspaper!). I had no back office retail experience and no prior knowledge of Brighton Collectibles or the brand. When I joined the team, I had no idea what to expect. Jerry welcomed me in and it was all hands on deck! Seventeen years and 200+ stores later, here we are. I feel so proud to be part of something so wonderful. Right away, I learned about the product, how it was made, the artistry and craftsmanship behind each and every piece, and boy, was I impressed! But what really sold me was Jerry & Terri's story. I was amazed by their passion for the business, their loyalty to their customers and the attention to detail in everything Brighton. I can't image being anywhere else. Brighton is my home away from home!

I knew that I wanted to start my career somewhere where I could see myself developing a set of skills and practices that would set me up to provide a meaningful and impactful contribution to that company. I can't imagine that I would have developed a more well-rounded and varied set of skills as a buyer anywhere else. Over the years here at Brighton, I have seen immense support from people in multiple areas who want to work with you to drive the business and create a better customer experience. Being a buyer at Brighton is not exactly a typical buyer position, but I'm so grateful for that!
