Making a list…

You and I know: holidays are coming faster than a speeding minivan piled with gifts. Halloween? Whoosh, that one already sped past. Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa are next to come around the corner. Not to pat ourselves on the backs – but when it comes to planning for holidays, Patti, Karyn, Jessie and I are miles ahead of the crowd. We always have our gifts bought early!

It’s not that we’re more virtuous than other folks, we just can’t wait to find perfect gifts for people we know! And, oh yeah…we start making our lists at the end of August. As irrepressible gift-buyers, we have a hard time holding back until then! While others were thinking of air conditioning, we thought of snow; when they imagined beach towels, we dreamed of evergreens (a beautiful symbol of how we think the holidays should be celebrated – year’ round!)

Now that our favorite time of year is officially here, we don’t have to worry anymore that people will think we’re crazy when we stare wistfully at the piles of ribbons and bows we’ve been saving up in our closets to add flourish to our packages!

I got the Twilight Chain Belt with dazzling large rhinestones for my sister – who deserves to be dressed to the nines!
