THE
BUZZ ABOUT THE BIRDS & BEES
During our last weekly
“girlfriend” phone call… Jessie Patti, Karyn and I were laughing
about that old song about spring “Birds Do It; Bees Do It.” With the
season in full swing, everybody’s minds must be on the same thing –
flowers and gardening! Now, isn’t that what you were thinking, too?
Our spouses were thinking differently.
(Venus and Mars? It’s more like Venus and Pluto!) The guys mark the
seasons by the changing colors of the sports team’s uniforms, instead
of what’s blooming! Just to give you an idea, Patti had proudly
placed a bouquet of home-grown daffodils in the center of the living
room, and her husband (armed with remote control-thumb, not a
green-thumb) only muttered…”I sure hope they like baseball!”

The four of us are obviously more in
touch with our roots than our men are – and more versatile…we have
multiple spring hobbies! So, besides digging and planting in our
yards for that sense of spring renewal, we decided to refresh our
spring accessory wardrobes by shopping at our
local Brighton retailers. (If our gardens are decked out in
finery, why shouldn’t we be, too?)
To our amazement, the spring Brighton accessories are inspired by the
beauty of gardens, just like we are! Patti carried away the
Milana Straw Handbag
– blooming with
colorful leather flowers from all over the world! Karyn fell in love
with the
Love Bug Charm Necklace…what a
cute tribute to the “birds and bees!” I picked
Tasha Sandals
in Pink, budding with croco flowers that look
fresh all year!
Unlike regular gardening, shopping for our new Brighton pieces was
inspiration without any perspiration. You’ll see…it’s as easy as
dropping in and finding out which garden-themed pieces bring a smile
