Showered with Good Luck
Patti, Jessie, Karyn and I aren’t really superstitious, but when a
lucky holiday like St. Patrick’s Day rolls around, we love to have
fun pretending we are. Most of our ancestors didn’t come from that
rainy emerald isle, but everyone is Irish on this special day, so we
get into the spirit, and find creative ways of celebrating.
One of our favorite ways to ward off bad luck is to go on a St.
Patrick’s Brighton shopping expedition. And it always works like a
charm. So far, we haven’t found the leprechaun’s pot of gold hidden
at the end of the rainbow, but we always discover some terrific
Brighton treasures to bring home. |

Finding a four-leaf clover is lucky… so
Jessie carried away the
Lucky Charms Key Fob (Legend has it that
finding one on St. Patrick’s Day brings twice the good luck that it
does the rest of the year.) Wearing green is lucky….so Patti bought
the
Meg Ziptop Handbag
in Lime green…. (She won’t get pinched for
forgetting to wear green March 17!) Since all leprechauns are shoe
cobblers, I decided the luckiest thing I could do was to buy a new
pair of
Brighton Loreta Shoes!
And guess what? In return for Brighton-ing up our St. Paddy’s Day,
another beautiful thing came our way. During Brighton’s Shower
Yourself promotion (March 5 through 20), with each $100 in Brighton
purchases, we received a
free umbrella covered in Brighton’s
whimsical “Sharon’s Hearts” print…and that’s something lucky that you
can take advantage of, too! |
