NEXT STOP, PARADISE! |
|
|
|
With summer only a heartbeat away, what
exotic, sun-splashed paradise do I dream of visiting? Well, to be
honest…to me, the Brighton Collectibles store I work in at Huebner Oaks
in San Antonio is about the closest thing to paradise that I’ve
experienced. Not only have I found my place under the sun – when I
arrive in the morning wearing my Brighton A
Scroll in the Park Sunglasses,
I already feel like a jet-setter – happy where I’ve landed.
This oversized (yet-never-overpowering)
frame flatters every face shape and instantly says |

glamour. And the exquisite details turn
heads everywhere I go. To give the black frame a double layer of
chic-ness, a Brighton designer lined it with creamy-colored ivory. And
do you notice how the silver scrolled temple hardware curves around the
plastic temples? Before I worked at Brighton Collectibles, I never
realized that it takes the world’s most highly skilled eyewear artisans
to perfectly craft Brighton’s frames, like this favorite of mine. Even
the plastic itself is the finest. At a seminar, I learned that the
plastic is made in Italy – it’s the same extraordinary quality you see
in those Euro designer frames that cost many times the price of
Brighton’s Sunglasses. (At
just $60 to $75 a pair, it’s lots easier to have a closet full of
fabulous Brighton styles!)
Just imagine, creating a wardrobe of frames
to suit your outfit or mood – whether it’s classic, dressy, sporty,
elegant or whimsical. The decorative
designs-you-just-won’t-find-anywhere-else were envisioned by Brighton
long before other brands began to get creative and – ingeniously – they
match elements in Brighton jewelry collections. Plus, coming from a
practical perspective, it feels good knowing that, unlike many other
brands,
Brighton Sunglasses protect
your eyes with full spectrum UV protection. |

My girlfriend Jessie says that “life feels
rosy” when she wears her
Rose Bud Sunglasses, with
rose motifs that are etched into a contrasting under layer, so the color
peeks through the frame and creates a breathtaking “stained glass”
effect. One of my favorite customers, Jessica, is inseparable from her
Central Park Sunglasses –
the two-toned metal accents go with everything in her wardrobe,
including her
Central Park Jewelry and
Tucker shoes.
As I mentioned before, I may not be the
leading traveler among Brighton fans, but what about you? If you are…our
boss Jerry Kohl, the owner of Brighton, has some pretty far-sighted
ideas for
romantic getaway trips, and
right now he’s giving away 9
spectacular vacation prizes. Just
try on a pair of Brighton sunglasses, and you’ll be entered to win a
trip for two to Hawaii, Cancun or Scottsdale, Arizona!
As for me, right now I’m content at Brighton Collectibles here in Texas
– because, by keeping my eyes and ears open – I keep in touch with a
whole world of inspiring stories about the creativity, care and passion
that goes into Brighton products. |
