BE MY VALENTINE

As incurable romantics -“Patti, Jessie, Karyn and I love Valentine's Day, and the many legends and traditions surrounding this heart-filled holiday. We thought we knew them all, but this year, while searching for Valentine ideas online, Karyn found another touching story - Valentine's Day started in early Rome, when men wore the names of the girls who would be their partners in a romantic spring festival called Lupercalia - pinned to their sleeves. (In those days, guys knew how to wear their hearts on their sleeves!)

We joked about pinning our names on our husband's  sleeves  -  but  in  today's busy world,

that  would be too subtle a reminder for getting our Valentine gifts! And, since we like wearing our Brighton hearts a lot more places than just on our sleeves, like Cupid's arrows, our hints would have to hit the target.

Our aim is true! Jessie taped her Brighton Wishlist to her husband’s Tivo remote…after joking that she’d have to surgically remove it from his hand, first. (She’d prefer to hold the June Signature Hobo Handbag in her hands.) Patti’s guy loves Nascar, and her wish for Secret Garden Hoop Earrings won’t be a secret…it’s wrapped around enough beer cans to last him ‘til the Daytona 500! As for me, my husband’s an artist…so at his easel, there’s a little something to remind him that giving’s a fine art, too…my Wishlist for Romeo and Juliet Sunglasses… tucked inside my favorite Brighton Masterpiece frame!

We girlfriends all agree - this route to getting our Valentine's Day wishes answered is the best yet  - by going directly to Brighton.com, filling out a Wishlist and then sharing it - after all, true love's about sharing, isn't it?
