Uluwatu Mia Soft Bucket Shoulderbag Shoulderbags at Brighton

On March 4, 2013:
While shopping with a friend in Orland Park, IL, we stopped in the Brighton store at the mall. A spotlight shined brightly on this rich, forest green purse sitting confidently alone on a shelf. My eyes could not look away. Well done, display clerk. Well done. As I walked to it (er, was literally drawn to it like an alien abduction tractor beam sucks up dazed and confused humans in Hollywood movies), my friend said, "Where are you going?" All I could do was mumble something like, "I've. Got. To. Go. See." and I gestured in the general direction of the "lonely purse." One touch and I was hooked, but I felt like I was cheating on my Kors bag, hanging like a best friend at my side. I tried to put the Brighton beauty back on the shelf, but I was afraid to take my hand away for fear that if I did, someone else would snatch it right up (kind of like moving chess pieces). Since I couldn't pull my hand away, I decided that this, indeed, was fate. Can someone truly love a purse that quickly? Yes. Yes they can. The exterior pocket magnetic closure creates a seamless illusion that prevents "stuff" from falling out (or in) without purposeful intent. My cell phone and passport cohabit perfectly here. I prefer using the tassel zipper pocket for keys instead of the interior hook. Everything has a place in this bag. Plenty of open pocket space for easy access items like lipstick, contact cases, and gum. The interior zippered compartments hide ear buds, cell phone chargers and unmentionables. The best thing about this bag? It passes the elbow swing test. Hallelujah!

On February 25, 2013:
I love a BIG bag and the Mia Bucket does not disappoint. It has room for everything but the kitchen sink and does not hurt my shoulder when I've got it loaded down. Love everything about it - the croc patent leather finish, lining, pockets, hardware, etc. I bought Brighton matching wallet, checkbook and makeup containers in 2008 and have enjoyed them, they still look brand new and I still get compliments on them. With this great track record I decided to spring for a high quality purse since the cheaper purses I've been buying last only 12-15 months before they are too worn to use. What quality! I am a VERY satisfied customer! This is my first Brighton bag but will not be my last.

On February 6, 2013:
I just purchased the Mia in the forest green and it has immediately become my favorite handbag. I have 5 other Brighton bags & love them all but the beautiful green is gorgeous in the sun light. I have had 2 neck and shoulder surgeries in the last 6 months and was a bit concerned about the weight of the bag but is light weight even with all my "stuff" in it. So glad I made this purchase.

On January 13, 2013:
I bought the Mia bag for myself & one for my Mother. It is a great bag, perfect size, supple, richly designed with pockets for keys/phone, makeup. The green color is NOT too bright; it absolutely goes with everything. It is a classic and the workmanship will ensure it lasts just about forever. I recommend it highly.

This is a beautiful bag! I love the tassel detail, the croco patent leather, and the stitching. I got the bag in forest green, it's such a unique color. This is by far the largest bag I have purchased from brighton, but the bag is so light that I feel like it won't hurt my shoulder to carry lots of items. This classic looking bag with a twist will never go out of style and is a great staple for my wardrobe.

On October 25, 2012:
I just received this bag in pewter as a gift from my generous man. It is the softest, most opulent leather with great organizing pockets. One of the outside pockets has a stylish, fringed zipper and the other has a strong magnetic closure.

I love the Mia, I have it in the beautiful brandy color. I love the lining as well. I am surprised that the round hoops that attach the handles to the bag are so plain and almost cheap looking. :( Guess I am used to the fancy hoops that attach the handles on my Cher bag!

I have this bag in burgundy and love it. Wish it came in more colors. Need lots of colors like the Cher bag! It is very light weight which is very important to me.

I have this Mia in Burgundy. I love it. I find myself petting it because the feel is luxurious, shiny and soft. It holds so much! When you take it into the sun, the color will blow you away. I had a friend stop me and just gape at it, telling me how beautiful it is! Believe me when I tell you you will feel beautiful when you wear it.
